In June 2008, Maui’s Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center and Drachen Foundation brought together Scott Skinner and artist Susan Robb to create kites. “Knowing that we’d be making kites at the Hui,” Scott says, “I felt they should be reminiscent of the many forms of leaf kite found throughout Polynesia.”
